This homestay is designed for those people who are intrested in visiting and learning about some of central England's finest gardens both private and public. There will be the opportunity to practice your English conversation with the owners of private gardens.

Visit Barnsdale garden which was created during the production of BBC Gardener's World programme on national television for 17 years. This garden for all seasons is made up of 37 small individual gardens of various styles.

Garden Centre visits
Visit two local contrasting garden centres to see plants and other gardening merchandise on sale. You may want to pick up a bargain!!

Relax in a local private garden.

Chatsworth House and Garden
Visit what is said by many to be the finest country house and garden in England. Known as the "Palace of the Peak" Chatsworth is a stately home with immense beauty and has one of Europe's leading art collections.

The garden has been designed over the centuries by Britain’s' leading garden designers and is a wonderful example of an English landscape garden designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown.

Belton House and Garden
Visit Belton House, one of the finest 17th century country houses in England. Inside Belton House is a stunning array of decoration, paintings and furniture and it is no surprise that it has been a favourite place to visit by many of England's royal family over the centuries. In the 19th century the gardens were restored to their George ll glory.
