It includes return train travel from your English home to the Chelsea Flower Show and you will be driven to a good selection of other beautiful local gardening venues both public and private. The friendliness of your host family will be reflected by the garden owners who you are able to converse and socialise with. Enjoy taking your time visiting historical places of interest and beauty. The maximum group size of four enables you to have excellent quality gardening tuition from Russ and also allows for your individual needs to be met.

 Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and relax in your homestay surroundings. Take a walk in the village or surrounding countryside or maybe even help Russ in the garden before enjoying a traditional Sunday lunch.

Grimsthorpe Castle & Garden. 
 Visit the delightful Grimesthorpe Castle with its outstanding architecture and superb interiors. The gardens contain an orchard, an ornamental vegetable garden and floral parterres edged with box hedging. The picturesque herbaceous border frames the lake.

Traditional Hanging Basket Lesson.
 Learn from Russ, the former Gardening Advisor to the British Embassy Japan, the art of making a traditional hanging basket. You will have the opportunity to make your own hanging basket. Unfortunately you cannot take it back with you but you will have the skills required to make a beautiful hanging basket at home.

 Visit a local private garden to look at the garden and chat with the owner over tea

Tues 22nd May

Barnsdale Garden.
 Visit Barnsdale garden which was created during the production of BBC Gardener's World programme on national television for 17 years. This garden for all seasons is made up of 37 small individual gardens of various styles.

 Relax and enjoy the flowers and greenery in a local private garden.

Wed 23rd May

    Downtown Garden Centre / Woolsthorpe Manor.
 Make a visit to Downtown Garden Centre, one of the largest in Europe to shop for any gifts for the return home before visiting the birthplace of the great scientist Sir Isaac Newton and see the tree that the famous apple originated from. Explore the Science Centre which demonstrates many of his theories.

A visit to The Chelsea Flower Show is a must for anyone interested in gardening. The Chelsea Flower Show is the number one gardening show in the world where the best in horticulture and design are on show so there is something for everyone.

 We will arrive at Chelsea around mid-day to enable you to have plenty of time to look around the Show. Marvel at the show gardens , floral marquees and companies selling their horticultural goods before heading back on an evening train with memories of a wonderful experience.

After a busy day in London spend this morning relaxing in your English home.

Belton House and Garden.
 Visit Belton House, one of the finest 17th century country houses in England. Inside Belton House is a stunning array of decoration, paintings and furniture and it is no surprise that it has been a favourite place to visit by many of England’s royal family over the centuries. In the 19th century the gardens were restored to their George Il glory.
